Native American Portraits Colorized

Native American Portraits Colorized

A French artist by the name of Frederic Duriez has made numerous Native American portraits colorized, many of which are up to 120 years old. The color enhancement has certainly added life to these old photographs.

The series of portraits features a variety of Native Americans. One, in particular, was of Iron White Man who belonged to the Sioux tribe. He used to perform in Buffalo Bill’s famous Wild West Show back in the 19th century. Other portraits feature a Native American holding a rifle in Western Montana on the Flathead Indian Reservation, and a Native American from the Crow tribe named Plain Owl with a tomahawk.
